Your Visit

What can I expect on my first visit?

You will be warmly greeted by our office staff and we will collect information to help us better understand your current condition and past medical history. If you have health insurance, we will ask for your insurance card and verify your benefits.

Our reception room has a variety of magazines, such as Atlanta Magazine, Better Home & Gardens, Southern Living, Business Week, and Sports Illustrated. Patients frequently comment on the music we play, an array of classic rock, world music and R and B.

We discuss in private the nature of your symptoms, and address your concerns. Based on this consultation, we will conduct an exam, usually in gym shorts and a T-shirt, to allow us to properly evaluate your condition. Specialized tests are performed to help discover areas of restriction, spasm, swelling, inflammation and misalignment. If necessary, x-rays will be obtained, or you will be referred for other diagnostic testing.

All of this is done to properly diagnose your illness or injury, before any treatment is rendered. The length and complexity of the exam is determined by your condition(s). Patients in acute distress, or those transferring from another Doctor of Chiropractic, can usually receive treatment on the same day.

How much will my visit(s) cost me?

We are in-network providers for a variety of HMO and PPO plans, so care at our practice, for many people, is more affordable than ever.

Our fees are usual and customary for the Atlanta metro region. Today most insurance plans offer chiropractic benefits. Some are generous, and some are very limited. Each plan is different, and varies by employer. Some plans require you pay only $25 for covered services, and others may have a $2,000 deductible or more out-of-pocket expense, before insurance covers any services.

Automobile Accidents - Medpay coverage on your automobile insurance will provide chiropractic benefits, if you have been injured in an automobile accident that has been properly reported and documented. If you do not have Medpay, then you can use your own health plan coverage.

On-the-job Injuries - Injuries on the job can be treated through Worker’s Compensation insurance with your employer, provided we have written authorization from your employer prior to your visit.

No Insurance? No Problem - We will help make your visits fit your budget whenever possible. We suggest cost-saving remedies that you can use at home to help supplement your care in the office.

How often will I need to come?

This varies from patient to patient depending upon how long you have had your problem(s), prior surgeries, concurrent illnesses or diseases, physical and emotional stress you are under. Most patients begin to obtain relief in a few days or a couple of weeks. Some people benefit from more extended care because of chronic problems, or because they find a greater sense of well-being with regular chiropractic care.
